That scene. In 2x05. When Liz wants Damon to keep Caroline away from her and he says “But she’s your daughter, Liz.” and he looks at Caroline. Just. I need them to be best friends, in the hilarious dysfunctional old married couple kind of way, at some point before this show ends. I need it.
